Hi! I’m Sara, AKA Girl Refurbished. I have been manifesting this blog for years, and I mean years. In 2013, I started refinishing furniture. I would take pictures of each step along the way and every time said, maybe I’ll start a blog! I guess what they say is right, everything happens for a reason, and in good time.
I’ll be talking about life and stuff I like on Girl Refurbished and creating a community for you as well. Let’s talk about: home décor, antique & vintage pieces, refurbishing furniture, flea markets, fall, decorating for holidays, baking, beauty and exploring America. Then there are the things that come with life: crafting with kids, parenting and making dinner against my will.
A little more about me…I moved around a lot growing up, seven times and three different high schools. So my eclectic style is probably attributed to all that moving and exposures to different regions. It also doesn’t hurt that my parents dragged me to antique stores growing up!
As of 2023, I don’t really do much on my blog any more. Though I suspect I’ll always keep it here. I think the articles and posts I’ve done are helpful, and should live on in perpetuity. You’ll see me live out my life on these pages. That means you’ll see me in a hijab, that I no longer wear. But I am still a supporter of all hijabis. You’ll see me with my ex husband, in that phase of my life as well. So poke around, have fun and maybe learn a few things.
