We all know wood bead garlands are super hot and super cute. And this DIY Eid wood bead garland is just that – super cute! This Eid craft is in partnership with Amasi Decor.
I think this particular craft is one you can keep forever and a piece you can can make for others as a gift too! And because you get a ton of wooden beads, you can get quite a few wood bead garlands for a great price.
I’m using Amasi Decor’s acrylic Eid calligraphy tag to complete the look and of the wood garland. I’ve also made a few other crafts with some of their items: Washi Tape Frame & Mubarak garland.

The supplies: Wooden beads, Amasi Decor acrylic Eid calligraphy tag, tape, string & scissors.
To get started, tape the string at one end so it doesn’t fray. You’ll need to tape it twice, one above and one below so the tape is long enough to string through the beads.
Watching my video will definitely help in really understanding the “how to.”
Start stringing the beads in the pattern you like. I did this pattern: 3 small beads, 3 large beads, 2 small beads, 2 large beads, repeat.
I used 20 large beads and 23 small beads. The large beads are 20 mm, and the small beads are 16mm. The garland will be approximately 36 inches long with the tassel and Eid tag. Again I picked up the wooden beads from Amazon.
Look at the cool pattern! Let out a little more string and cut.
Now let’s pause and make the tassel.
Take the string and wrap it around your palm, 20 times. Make sure to wrap it diagonally on your palm to get a longer tassel.
When done wrapping 20 times, cut both of the strings at the same end.
Form a little hole by using your finger, wrap the string around the hole.
Wrap the string at one end to make a small loop. Tie the string tight, making sure to keep the loop.
Cut the larger loop to make the tassel. Trim the ends to make even.
Now cut another piece of string. Thread the string through the small loop to attached the tassel to the garland.
Tie the string in a knot around the small loop.
Now, tape the string on one end. Take two pieces of tape like you did before. This is to thread the strings through the beads easily.
Take the taped string and thread it through three beads.
Might I suggest watching my video on this? It’ll make your life easier.
Tie the string into a knot onto the garland. Then push the beads down toward the tassel side.
Trim the access string off.
Now it’s time to attach the Eid tag to the garland.
Take the Amasi Decor Eid acrylic tag and thread a long piece of string through the hole and tie into a knot to secure the Eid tag.
Tape on side of the tape, like we have before to thread through the beads.
Thread the taped string through three beads. Like you did with the tassel.
Make a loop like you’re going to tie the string onto the garland string. Before you tie it entirely, push the string down as far you can toward the tassel end of the beads.
Tie in a knot.
Once you’ve pushed it down making the garland tight, push the other three beads down onto the garland.
Trim the access tape in between the beads.
Slide the Eid acrylic tag down and tie the the string onto the Eid tag. Trim the string.
Ta-Da – you’re done!
