I first did this DIY crayon craft in back in 2017 when I only had one kid! It was the same thing, but in little round silicone molds. But this DIY Ramadan Craft: Ramadan Moons & Star Crayons are made in different molds.
Now I know you have a ton of crayons laying around. Because they just multiply like bunnies and break like glass.
And in case you’re like, Sara. I’m not going to buy a moon silicone mold and a star silicone mold, just make crayons. I got you. My recommendation would be to buy the molds in a two pack. Use only one mold to make crayons and the other mold to make food items.
What can you do with leftovers that weren’t in the other silicone molds?
Food ideas: Make ice cubes, Make chocolate, freeze pesto, spinach, freeze herbs in them
Non food ideas: Make chalk, bath soap, magnets, candles

Now let’s get into making these super cute DIY Ramadan crayons!
Gather your kids, because they’ll love this Ramadan craft and your supplies: a moon silicone mold, a star silicone mold, crayons, a knife, a bowl of water and a cutting board
Place the crayons in a bowl of water for about a minute or two to help loosen the wrappers. Then peel the wrappers off.
It’s totally up to you what colors you do. We used 32 crayons for our two molds, and we did have some cut up crayons left over.
Next, we’ll need to chop them up, about 1/2 inch long.
Now we fill up the silicone molds to the top with crayons, don’t be stingy.
Place the silicone molds on a cookie cutter then bake the molds at 230 degrees for around 15 minutes. Listen to me, PUT THEM ON A COOKIE SHEET, don’t skip this step like I did. Because when you take them out of the oven, the liquid crayons will spill everywhere. See? Use a cookie sheet.
How cute are these Ramadan crayons?!?!?
