This DIY Ramadan Decor: Mubarak Garland is in partnership with Amasi Decor. I’ll be using their gold stamped Mubarak party coasters, in a set of twelve, for this DIY Ramadan decoration.
And with the remaining coasters, you can create a Mubarak & star garland, with stars and hang them together. I’ve got a tutorial for that garland as well.
For a walk-through of how to make this DIY Ramadan garland, check out the video here on my IGTV channel.
Let’s get started by gathering the supplies: Amasi Decor gold stamped Mubarak party coasters, string, scissors, tape and a single hole hand punch.
Now it’s time to punch a hole in the coasters. Line up the hole punch fairly close to the edge, about a centimeter or two away from the top, and line it up in between the b and the a of Mubarak. Punch a hole. Repeat with all seven coasters.
Next up, tape the end of one string. You’ll want to do this, so that the tape doesn’t fray and it will fit in nicely through the holes while threading.
You’ll need about 48 inches of the string, but if you want to be safe, thread the coasters onto the string while it’s on the roll, so you can cut what you need at the end.
Thread the coasters on the string, making sure to thread on top of the hole, not under.
Hang the garland up by simply taping it to the wall!
Here it is below with the Mubarak star & coaster garland.
Such a cute DIY Ramadan home decor garland.

- Scissors
- Tape
Instructions
- Hole punch the seven Mubarak coasters
- Punch it about a centimeter from the top, and line it up between the b and the a of ‘Mubarak’.

- About 48 inches of the string. But if you want to be safe, or are using all of the coasters, thread the coasters onto the string while it’s on the roll, so you can cut what you need at the end.
- Tape the end of the string
- So the thread doesn’t fray while threading the coasters.
