First trip
Creamer .49 cents
Sake pitcher $1.99 (half off)
Candle for Colette .99 cents
First stop for my July thrift store finds took me to the Apple Valley goodwill. When it comes to the little creamer it was so about price. I do like the little guy and he caught my attention but once I tuned it over and saw the price, that sealed the deal. No markings on the creamer anywhere.
My mom was shopping with me and noticed the ceramic sake container first. Once she decided to pass on it, I scooped it up. It was originally $3.98, but it had the tag with the color of the week, which meant it was half off!
Colette was shopping with us and decided she needed to buy something. She landed on this candle. I guess it’s rubbing off on her!
Second Trip
Wooden leaf bowl $3.99
Grandpa mug .99 cents
Gold waste basket/light fixture $3.99
The wooden leaf bowl has a stamp on the bottom reading: Woods of Hawaii Honolulu’s Finest at Waikiki Monkey Pod Wood. I knew it was real wood before I turned it over because it’s so rich and beautiful!
I saw the grandpa mug and immediately picked it up. My Dad doesn’t have a grandpa mug and drinks coffee everyday. It was such an obvious must. He loves it by the way!
When I saw the gold waste basket I knew immediately that I would be flipping it upside down and turning it into a light fixture. There are all sorts of cool cords for lights now so I’m thinking this will be a home run!
Third Trip
Czechoslovakia teapot .99 cents
Avon cream canister $1.99
I was drawn to the cute little folk people on the front of the teapot but I wasn’t sure what culture was being represented. Then I flipped it over and it read: Czechoslovakia teapot. Handcrafted registered teapot. Made in Czechoslovakia. I mean how could I pass it up?
Here I go again picking up a pastel item and wondering how it could fit into our home. Thank God for little girls! It dawned on me to get this for Colette’s room. It’s a vintage Avon Hearts and Flowers decorative jar with a lid. From what I’ve seen online it’s from 1973. By the way, Colette loves it and immediately made me put her lotion in it to be used in her room. So cute!
