Not all estate sales are created equal and these March estate sale finds prove that. This awesome Upland estate sale was a mid-century modern dream! I can’t pick pass up anything mid-century, so my excitement over this one was palpable. Let’s see what I picked up.
March Estate Sale Finds
I’m always trying to up my plant game so when I saw this cute $3 Pacific pottery ceramic pot I had to pick it up. I also had to google it quite a bit to figure out it was a stoneware pottery crock water bowl. I have to be honest, not sure what a water bowl is. But I do like it. And it fits perfectly in my pot holder I picked up in March at goodwill!
What a surprise, I bought a 1960’s orange juice pitcher for $4! This vintage Anchor Hocking juice pitcher with white stars was clean and in great shape. I think I’ll be using it for a breakfast soon!
1960’s postcard. Vibrant, pink and .50 cents – enough said. They had a bucket full of cool, old postcards that I could have spent all day digging through. Truth-be-told I’ve always had a thing for postcards. When my parents would drag us to antique stores growing up I’d always gravitate towards the postcards. They were always so interesting, with interesting places on them and people’s short handwritten hello’s on the back. It also didn’t hurt that my parents would typically say yes to me picking one up too!
Kitchen items. What is it with me and kitchen items? I just couldn’t pass up this $3 1960’s vintage folding blue metal cookbook stand holder. I’ve never seen one and I thought, well it’s small, it won’t take up much room. Justification at it’s finest. I can’t wait to put it on display with a 1960’s cookbook in it!
I cannot find anything with ‘Fradelis-ware’ on the internet! That’s what the back of this blue fiberglass tray says, imprinted in very large letters. I typed the name in a million different ways, but it’s like this tray doesn’t exist. So here ya go internet, here’s a blue Fradelis-ware fiberglass tray, and I paid $1 for it.
Out of everything I purchased at the March estate sale these stole my heart and for only $8. These painted 1950’s ladies shoe stretchers will be displayed in Colette’s room because they could not be any sweeter. I love the patina, the colors and even the random bows they put on the shoe stretchers.
Want more? I also snagged some awesome, and completely different, estate sale finds earlier this year too.
