Make sure to check out my latest and most updated post – Where to Buy Ramadan & Eid Décor Online
Can I be honest here? There are limited Ramadan and Eid decorations to choose from. Don’t get me wrong, it’s VASTLY improved over the past years, but it’s still an emerging industry with, sometimes, outdated styling. No shade because it all works, it’s just nice to see some updated decor as well. So I thought I’d tell you some of my picks, not only just specific Ramadan and Eid companies, but where else to shop. I’ll also be showing you some DIY Ramadan and Eid decorations in a few months as well – so stay tuned!
In the meantime, let’s take a look at some of our personal Ramadan and Eid decorations from last year and where I purchased them. After you’ve taken a journey through our decorations I’ll tell you my thoughts on theme and colors of Ramadan and Eid decorations – which will seem counter-intuitive from my current decor. My decor is evolving folks! And one more thing. I come from the world of Christmas. I grew up Presbyterian and absolutely loved Christmas – I mean everyone loves Christmas whether you celebrate or not. So if it seems like overkill on the decorations, you can blame my mom, she instilled that in me. Happy holidays to all!
Ramadan & Eid Decorations in the photos above:
- Giant Happy Ramadan sign. Homemade. That’s right folks, my husband made that huge piece for our front yard quite some years ago! We no longer have it because it was too heavy to take to DC with us, but we hope to make another one.
- Lanterns. Cost Plus World Market – you can always count on World Market for lanterns.
- Red Ramadan figurine. Ranoon. I think this was one of my purchases about five years ago.
- Picture written in Arabic. I believe we got that at a convention.
- Green countdown to Eid poster. Modern Eid a MODERN take on Eid and Ramadan decorations.
- Frame for poster. Micheals.
- Happy Eid acrylic sign. Modern Eid – no longer in white but gold now.
- Star and moon lights. Ranoon although the lights are now colored.
- Star paper lantern. Heirloom in downtown Claremont. We just happened to be walking around and picked up a couple paper lanterns.
A Few Other Ramadan & Eid Decorations we have:
-
- Happy Ramadan letters. I purchased the block letters and scrapbook paper from Micheals. Listen, I did those letters about five years ago, so it’s time for an updated.
- Rose Gold Paper Lantern. IKEA, last year. They no longer have them but keep a look out throughout the year.
- Eid string lights. Eidway.
- Red and beige Ramadan banners. Eidway – I think, but I don’t see them on their website. Again, I think this was among one of my first decorations, five years ago.
- Copper foil Happy Eid. (Not pictured) also from Modern Eid, here’s a gold one. We purchased this poster last year, but after Eid, so we’ll be putting it into a frame this year and decorating with it.

Ramadan & Eid Decor Colors & Theme
There is NO rhythm or reason to the theme or colors in Ramadan and Eid decor. Which coming from the Christmas world, I get so thrown. Christmas colors are green and red, so there’s a common thread throughout a lot of Christmas decor. Christmas decor has branched out greatly with all kinds of themes and colors. However, it still maintains that common color story. So I feel frustrated when decorating for Ramadan and Eid because I want there to be a common color story so it all makes sense!
Well I’ve decided to establish a color pallet my darn self. I’m going with rich, jewel tones and metallic colors like silver and gold. Here’s the catch. I like the vibrant jewel tones because they’re fresh and fun and festive. But let’s be honest, the dark jewel tones are a bit more common and just a lovely so I’ll probably stick with those. And again, I know most of my existing decorations aren’t in that color pallet, but I hope to shift them over and create a more cohesive look during Ramadan!
Now what about theme? Again, like Christmas you’ve got Santa and Christmas trees so these are typically items you’ll see in decor. So what about Ramadan and Eid? Well you’ll see stars, moons and lanterns a lot. Great, I’ll stick with those. That was easy.
NOW…I reserve the right to change my mind but that’s what I’m sticking to for now. Happy Ramadan and Eid Mubarak!
