Winter ladies brunch time! I want to start off by saying I live in Southern California. So yes, I did have my brunch outside because it was 60-something degrees outside. But all this can be set up inside quite easily.
And remember…this is apart of a series of seasonal brunches where I use the same tableware to prove that yes, you can throw a party every season that’s affordable and cute! Head over to the Fall brunch and Summer brunch too!
Quick shout-out to my friends who put up with my craziness. My sister is the photographer, she’s awesome. But I always give her a hard time. And then some of my friends come early to help me set up and I’m usually running around like a crazy person. So again, thanks to them and everyone who came to the brunch for putting up with my frantic self at the beginning. Blogger brunches are about photos, then fun. It’s just the truth.

Winter Ladies Brunch Details
THEME
The winter ladies brunch has gold and black accents and then, of course, winter accents. I had to bring in those beautiful green pines and the pine cones to accents the chargers.
TABLEWARE – KEEPING
I’m still using the same stuff from my fall brunch and summer brunch! And I’m still really freaking happy with everything I chose! Plus, that means I only paid for drinks, napkins and flowers this time around. For a quick link to all the items listed below, head to my Amazon store – Brunch Supplies.
- Chargers
- These Hobby Lobby faux wooden ones have worked with each season and gives a nice contrast to the white plates
- They’re super awesome and holding up so well – I love them
- Plates
- These delicate and detailed plastic plates are the stuff of dreams and the set includes both dinner and dessert plates
- They’re still holding up! No breaks this time around. And all stains come clean in the dishwasher!
- Tablecloths
- I have my own or borrowed from my Mom, but the one linked looks good
- Folding tables
- I also had my own. You should definitely have at least two around the house. However, you can rent tables for cheap too
- Chairs
- I used my own mismatched ones, but I’m thinking of slowly building a collection that matches. You can also rent chairs too for a uniform look
- Brass candlesticks holders
- These are my moms that she gave me. But candlesticks are always at thrift stores, so look there. Read my post about how to thrift for home decor or grab some at the link provided.
- White candlesticks
- Ordered these online through Target for a good price.
- Pine cones
- I picked these up at Kmart when they were going out of business. They’re sparkly and covered in gold and white. I’m obviously keeping these for fall and winter decor too!
TABLEWARE – THROWING AWAY
- Napkins
- These thick, disposable hand towels are a win for a napkin! They’re heavy-duty and look really great.
- Utensils
- Gold for the win – don’t they look amazing!?
- These were in the reusing category but I’ve decided against it. There are so many in the box, it’s not worth it. Plus they hold stains and don’t really come clean, even in the dishwasher
- Cups
- Clear cups trimmed with a little gold. This packages actually includes polka dot napkins I used on my bar cart too
- These were also in the reusing category but I’ve decided against it for the same reasons I did the utensils. They hold stains and there are a lot of them
- Black chalkboard butcher paper runner
- I picked up a roll for $3 at Target in the dollar spot. It actually is still clean so I’ll be keeping it for crafts with my kids!
- Flowers & Greenery
- I bought a ton of pine, pussy willow, roses and assorted greens from Trader Joes. They’re typically cheaper there and you can order ahead so you are guaranteed to have your flowers day of. Plus you can dry out pussy willow, so now my house is covered in it!
BRUNCH PASTRIES & COFFEE TABLE
- Folding table
- One small one for the pastries & coffee table. I find these smaller tables always come in handy
- Tablecloth
- I borrowed my moms, so think about asking friends and family. Otherwise I linked one as an option
- Pedestal stands
- I picked up mine up from Marshall’s, but the one I bought is linked here, it’s just more expensive.
- Beverage dispenser
- I already had it and I’ve had it for years. I recommend getting one of these as well
- Vase
- I had all the vases I used but if you need to start a small collection check, out the link or maybe thrift a few
- Candelabra
- Another thrift find. It was actually covered in patina, and I liked it that way. But one day I got a wild hare and started polishing it and I’m glad I did!
- Glass coffee carafe with creamer & sugar holder
- The coffee carafe is vintage and a gift from my husband, but google it and you can find a ton. I’ve had my creamer and sugar set since we got married from Crate & Barrel
- Coffee cups
- Disposable. I know disposable isn’t the best but it’s so easy. But I just found these rose gold ones I linked and now I’m thinking I want these
BAR CART
- Bar cart
- Again, I had my vintage bar cart. It’s actually a vintage Salton hot tray cart, but I use it as a bar cart. I know it’s so hard to find an affordable bar cart but that’s why you go to flea markets, thrift stores, yard sales, Facebook marketplace, etc…If you don’t love digging though stuff, I’ve linked one that looks good
- Cheers bar mat
- Target dollar spot again for $5.
- Vase
- I have vases but I linked a cute one
- Pitcher
- I had a subscription to GlobeIn, it’s an artisan subscription box of handmade and ethically sources goods and in one of the boxes there was this super cool pitcher
- Ice bucket
- I picked up my vintage penguin ice bucket from an antique store. If you like it, just google that and there are a ton, otherwise I’ve linked a newer one
- Champagne ice bucket
- Well guys, this was a thrift find but you can find good deals online too for these.
- “Ice”
- The ice in the champagne bucket is actually little glittery ornaments that give the appearance of round ice cubes and add a little something. I picked them up at the dollar store.
- Penguin Cocktail Shaker
- That little penguin is actually a Christmas ornament. He’s meant to look like a penguin cocktail shaker so he just fit in so well.
- Pom Stir Sticks
- Target dollar spot again. Sorry man. I’ll be honest cute stir sticks are so hard to find. So when you see something you like, just pick it up!
- Napkins
- Remember these cute polka dot napkins came with the plastic cups I ordered
BRUNCH FOOD
So yes. In order to throw a stress-free winter ladies brunch the key word is: potluck. Everyone brought something to eat and I made sure we had an even amount of sweet and savory items.
Just take a look at those jumbo raspberry strudel from Simply Muffins from the pastries table. They’re absolutely delicious and vegan! You can order from her – she’s out of Southern California.
And one of my friends made one of my favorite vegetarian casseroles, spinach black bean enchiladas. You can find them at my favorite vegetarian recipes.
However, if I did end up cooking I would definitely pick some items from my favorite breakfast recipes : blueberry french toast casserole and easy cheesy breakfast casserole.
BRUNCH DRINKS
- Coffee
- How can it be brunch without coffee? Klatch coffee is one of my favorites but also, so the pre-ground grocery store coffee, Don Franscico’s
- Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Wines
- I don’t drink alcohol so I’m always looking for alternatives
- Pierre Chavin Gold Arabesque 24 Karat Non-Alcoholic Sparkling White Wine – Yummy! I’ll totally order it again!
- Perle Bleu De Chavin – this is gross it tastes like blue otter Popsicle but not in a good way
- The Magic Dream Line – This is gross too. Well some people said it is OK but not thanks
- Orange Juice
- Again, it’s still technically breakfast so serve OJ
- Sparkling water
- I love Spindrift, it’s my favorite sparkling water but also Trader Joe’s individual cans particularly the cranberry & lime are good too
