My Woodland Baby Shower
I thought I’d take you around my son’s woodland baby shower that my wonderful Mother & sister threw for me. This was my second baby, so I wanted it to be low-key but also themed up!
I chose the woodland baby shower theme because his nursery, you can see it here, was that theme. And I thought, if there was any décor from the event, I’ll just use it in his room. Practical lady here! And if you still haven’t registered yet, take a look at my baby registry gift bags review.
Let’s take a look around…
Hi, that’s me being hella casual at my woodland baby shower because it was my second kid and I just didn’t feel like dressing up because I felt large. I mean, can you blame me?
Here’s the spread. A casual lunch, with yummy food. I already told you it was casual but if you take a closer look, you’ll notice some not-so-casual cheese balls…
Food for a Woodland Baby Shower
It’s a porcupine cheese ball! I remember seeing this on Pintrest and I went nuts. I told my mom that the porcupine cheese ball was the thing I wanted the most. Not only was he super cute, but he’s tasty too.
But that’s not all the cheese balls! They took it to another level and threw in two pinecones cheeseballs too. How insanely cute are these cheese balls?
Let’s move to desserts next. I mean that’s the entire reason people go to parties right? To eat dessert?
I had a few items on my dessert checklist: muffins & donuts. I have always loved muffins and donuts but while I was pregnant my love of muffins was taken to the next level. So that’s about all the explanation ones needs, I was pregnant.
Desserts for a Woodland Baby Shower
Oh but you thought it was just muffins and donuts? Nope, look at that cake log! My mom & sister made that awesome cake, and those amazing, tasty meringue mushrooms! And do you see the edible “dirt” below it? I MEAN COME ON!
Here’s my pregnant muffin obsession properly displayed below. I demanded a million different homemade muffins and they so graciously baked me a few different flavors.
Also donuts. Lots of donuts in different flavors -you’ll see the rest below. And how cute is the wood stand with the wood slice? Very woodland nursery theme. Plus, if you look closely that’s a wood grained tablecloth cover with acorns, sticks, rocks, and more of those tasty meringue mushrooms sprinkled about.
And all that dessert was topped off with a little more donuts and chocolate covered pretzels. A pregnant woman’s dessert spread dream. Happy camper.
We can’t forget the cute, little drink station of raspberry lemonade and peach tea.
Last up – favors! It’s was a make-your-own trail mix bar. I wanted a favor that could actually be used, so they went with these cute little mason jars and the guests could fill up their own trail mix.
And a huge shout out to my Mom & sister for making all that amazing food!
I loved the theme, the food, the people and the muffins. It was the best Woodland baby shower ever!
